- Delicious Philly Cheesesteak Sliders with Onions, Peppers, and Fresh Steak
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 large green pepper, thinly sliced
- 1/2 pound fresh shaved steak
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 12 slider buns
- 6 slices provolone cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (optional, for brushing buns)
Directions:
Step 1: Sauté the Onions and Peppers
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the thinly sliced onions and green pepper, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until softened and slightly caramelized.
- Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Steak
- In the same skillet, add the shaved steak. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cook the steak for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat.
Step 3: Assemble the Sliders
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
- Layer the cooked steak evenly over the bottom buns, followed by the onions and peppers.
- Place the provolone cheese slices over the top of the onions and peppers.
- Cover with the top halves of the slider buns.
Step 4: Bake the Sliders
- (Optional) Brush the tops of the slider buns with melted butter for added flavor.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are lightly toasted.
Step 5: Serve
- Remove the sliders from the oven and serve hot. Enjoy!
